The Previous Steps tab allows you see all the referring domains and also explore what UTM parameters are present when users come to your site.

To access the previous steps tab, click on a step > focus > select previous steps tab.

Organic Traffic Sources

This is a list of the top referring URLs that brought visitors to your page.

The number of visitors listed by each URL contains a count of users that came to your site WITHOUT UTM parameters present.

For example: In this image there are 10186 visitors that have come from www.google.com/. That 10186 represents the users that came from www.google.com/ but the visit did not contain any UTM parameters.

UTM Explorer

The UTM explorer displays a data table that shows you all the different combinations of UTM parameters that were present when visitors come to your site.

The table contains all 5 UTM parameters (source, medium, campaign, content, and term) and allows you to see the visitor count that has come from each combination.

You can use the filters at the top to filter all the results by a specific parameter(s).

For example: let's say we want to see a count of all the visitors to our site that contain the utm_source parameter with a value of facebook.

Simply click on the "select source" filter and choose the desired value.

Creating this filter will adjust all the results in the table to now only show us the results that contain utm_source=facebook.

Individual People Count

If your canvas filter is set to display Individual people then the count at the top of the UTM explorer will show you the total number of individual people that visited your page with the filtered combination of parameters.

This field may be different than the sum of all the visitors per combination. This is because the same user may have clicked on multiple ads or visited through multiple campaigns.

The count at the top of the explorer only represents the unique number of people that came from the filtered combination of UTMs (when the filter is set to individual people).

Based on your discoveries you can either FIND the icon on the canvas or hit the map button to quickly map that source to your page.
