How to Map ClickFunnels Pages and Actions

Step 2: How to map pages and actions in Funnelytics

Map Your Pages and Actions out onto the Canvas

In this example, we'll be tracking a funnel that has a landing page, multi-step order page, 2 upsell pages, 2 downsell pages, and a thank you page. It will look like this in Funnelytics:

Mapping Icons is easy - simply drag and drop an icon from the left toolbar onto the canvas. To connect icons together, click on the icon, then click and drag the blue arrow onto the next icon.

Actions in Funnelytics are used to represent the behaviors users take on your pages.
If there's an optin form on a page, you can map a "complete-form" action between the optin page and the thank you page.

If a purchase action can happen on a page, use 1 action to represent each product that can be purchased. For example, if a page has a main product and 2 bump products, then you should have 3 purchase actions. 1 for each product option.

If it's an upsell page where the visitor has to choose between purchasing and not purchasing, you should map 1 purchase action (to represent the option of them purchasing) and 1 click action (to represent them clicking the "no" link instead of purchasing).

2 special things to notice in the image example above:

  1. On the Multi-step Checkout Page, there is an action that represents the visitor completing the first step in the form. This is unique to multi-step order forms.
  2. From OTO pages to the Downsell pages there is no action, that's because Funnelytics can track page to page interaction already out of the box. And going from OTO to downsell page is implied that they didn't purchase the upsell.

Enter the URL of each page into a page icon

Each step in ClickFunnels has a unique URL. Map the URL of each step to a page icon inside of Funnelytics. Be careful not to use the "redirect link" that CF gives you. Be sure to use the actual URL of the page.

The URL of the step can be found by taking your domain + the page path found in the settings of the step.

The page URL in this example is the hostname for the funnel + the page path found in the step settings.

Before Moving On

By the end of this article you should have the following:

  • All pages mapped out with the correct URL in the page settings (be careful to avoid any
  • The correct actions mapped out between each step.

Next Steps

Now that the pages and actions are mapped out in Funnelytics, we need to make sure that the actions are configured properly.
