Installing in EverWebinar

This article will show you how to install the Funnelytics script to EverWebinar

This is an advanced implementation that requires the help of Google Tag Manager. We have provided a solution however that should make it as easy as possible.

This for tracking Everwebinar 4.0 and will not work with older versions. Also known as WebinarJam.

The Problem

This solution is required because Everwebinar's popup form is actually an iframe that loads on the button click. Because of browser security measures, iframes can be hard to deal with.

1. Download and Install this container into your GTM account.

After downloading the file, navigate to your current GTM container. Under the admin tab, select "Import Container" and choose the newly saved file.


The safest options are to merge and rename any conflicting tags.

2. Add Your Funnelytics Workspace Script to the Two Tags

In the container, there are two tags called "FL Base Script..." You will need to add your workspace script into both of these tags. 


This is the only modification that is required in GTM. 

If you already had Funnelytics base tag(s) installed, you will need to remove those in favor of these new tags. These tags are connected to specific triggers and any other Funnelytics base tags will break this implementation. 

3. Install GTM on all your EverWebinar Pages

Ensure that your Google Tag Manager container is installed in all the tracking fields EW provides. 

4. Map The Pages and Action In Funnelytics

Now that tracking is all set up on EverWebinar's side of things, let's make sure Funnelytics is set up properly to display that information. 

In Funnelytics we need to map out the following steps:

  • Landing Page
  • Complete Form Action (simple)
  • Thank You Page

The Optin Page

This is simply the URL of the page where the registration form is located. Add that URL to the page settings in order to track that page. 

The Complete Form Action

Between the landing page and the thank you page, map a SIMPLE complete form action. 

You can also add that action as a KPI at this time to see those results in the KPI tab.

The Thank You Page

Enter the URL of the page the user is redirected to after registering for the webinar.
The URL likely will look like this: 

5. Verify and Test

To verify that your form submit action is working as expected, visit the page with the form. Then, open up developer tools and go to the 'console'

With the console open, complete the form on the page. If it worked, you should see a message appear in the console "The form was submitted"
