[Legacy 1.0] Ignore In-Between Steps

How to track a funnel without mapping everything in between two steps using a dashed line.

This article is a part of our legacy installation and does not apply to our Funnelytics 2.0 Performance Platform

This is a really cool feature that allows you to visualize the conversion rates between two steps without having to map every single step out that occurs between the two steps.

As a quick example, we may want to visualize the number of people that came from Google Organic and then later registered for an account.

You could map out every single step that goes from Google Organic to register:

(Not too many steps in this case, but still doesn't show us how many people came from Google and then converted without a focus)

Or we could get the percentage easily by simply mapping the traffic source icon directly to the action icon.

You can see that now the line has changed to become a dashed line signifying that it's going to do a direct conversion rate.

Immediately we can see the number of users that came from Google Organic and then later registered for an account.

Change a Normal Line to Indirect (Ignore In-Between Steps) Line

Every line has a settings gear that you can change the look and behavior of the line.

To change the line type from a direct line to an ignore in-between steps line, click on line settings and then the line icon.
