Track Calendly Call Bookings

Calendly is one of the most popular scheduling platforms out there but tracking it isn't straightforward.

That's because Calendly doesn’t allow third-party scripts to run directly on its platform.

Luckily, there are two main ways you can still track Calendly bookings in Funnelytics:

  1. Embedding the Calendar on your website

  2. Redirect the user to a thank you page and appending the parameters
(Found under More Options in the event settings)

The container that you will find below will cover both cases so that you will not need to change setup in case you decide to use your calendars in a different way.

Both type of setup will create a Call Scheduled event in Funnelytics but with different attributes - these are due to a couple of limitations about each method that you should be aware of.

⚠️ Limitations:

  • Embedded Calendar on Your Website
This method does not pass user data (e.g. email, booking type, etc.).
You'll only know that a booking occurred and on which page it happened.

  • Redirect to a Thank You Page with Parameters
This conversion will be tied to the thank you page and not to the page the Calendar actually lives

Download the Tracking Container

You can download the container here it supports both methods out of the box.

If you need instructions on how to import the setup in your GTM container HERE is the full guide on importing containers
